1. Purchase your package – you’ll be able to add your domain name and hosting at checkout.
2. Complete the ‘Get Started’ form.
3. I will contact you to discuss your color scheme options, page titles, and to gather your information (resume, photos, videos, etc.). If you choose the template package we’ll have a conversation about you want your design to look like and I’ll help you choose the appropriate template. Then I’ll go to work designing your website!
4. Once your website is complete and published online, I’ll create a login page just for you. (Usually, www.yourdomain.com/login) Your website will be built with WordPress so you’ll use this login page to access your website and make future updates, blog posts, add new headshots, etc. Our simple-to-use content editor allows you to quickly and easily make updates & edits to your website.

Your domain name and hosting

Before you can have a website live on the web you need to purchase your domain name and hosting. Your domain name is the “www.actorname.com” that you type into your web browser. You can get a domain name for around $10 from Godaddy, or I can do it for you and register it in your name.

Think of a hosting service as a big radio station that basically broadcasts your website to the masses. You need hosting. You can either obtain it on your own or go through us, but you do need it. You can get you own hosting from companies like GoDaddy and Bluehost or you can get it from us for only $10 per month. If you would like to purchase hosting through us you can add that to your order when you check out.

Your website will be super easy to update. Once it’s built I’ll walk you through how to make all your changes. If you hate tech stuff I can make most of your updates for you, depending upon which package your choose. Contact me with any questions you have – no question is too small.
